'Love That For Me' is an hour long Edinburgh Fringe show I performed in 2023. It's about a bit of a mental year I had after a big break up. I loved doing this show, it sold out at the Fringe and the Glasgow Comedy Festival and I got to do it at Soho Theatre which was cool. It got good reviews, with WeeReview calling it "an hour of non-stop gags" and the Sunday Post calling it "an hour of near non-stop laughs" which is only slightly less good. This filmed version was recorded on a kinda cold-ass Tuesday night at Monkey Barrel. I kinda wish I'd been able to have another go at it for a few reasons but alas this is it now existing forever, warts 'n all. I was planning on sitting on it to be honest but Marc (very kindly) bullied me into sharing it, so here it is. Laura Simms has an exciting job as a top magazine editor, but her love life's a disaster. Her luck seems to change when she meets Gabriel, a handsome but mysterious man who believes in old-fashioned love and marriage.

Miri is a promising journalist and she is married to Dan who is a very skilled lawyer. Together they have a 10-year-old daughter and a lovely home. They are a happy little family - apparently. When Miri becomes the editor of the magazine she works for in Dan for a year's offer in New York, the facade cracks. They are unable to find each other again and the family falls apart. But is it better to be away from the one you actually love? Is it satisfying to live for the job?
